I can tell you a couple of things about the progression of COVID-19 in the United States today that you might not be aware of, and I can tell you these things because since April 2020 I've kept track, every single day.

In January of this year the daily infection rate was just under 200,000 people per day. Nearly 6.2 Million people were infected. That's just awful. In February that rate dropped to 83,000 per day for a total of 2.3 Million. That's a fantastic drop-off, although we're nowhere near the numbers we need to be. Remember back in October when we thought the numbers were awful? We're still doing worse than that.

In January of this year the death rate was over 3,000 people per day. Over 95,000 people died of COVID. In February the death rate was down to 2,600 people per day, with just under 72,000 dead. So while the infection rate is down the death rate really isn't.

The vaccine news is good, and getting better, but every please don't relax just yet. Don't get complacent. Despite the better infection numbers the death rate in February was the 2nd highest it's been during this entire crisis.

COVID has become a more effective killer.

Get your fucking vaccine, wear your fucking mask.

Cheap shots:

Look for the Union Label.

I'm sure A.J. Parkinson has something pithy to say about the whole thing.

What the hell happened to the flu?

Did Nazi that coming.

They repurposed a Bob's Big Boy mascot and started praying to it.

It was nice of him to thank one of his co-stars.
