A Rutger Hauer reference.

I have a question for the current and hopefully temporary Speaker of the House. You want to spend less money. Fine. But how does that translate into more people getting paid?

It's a disconnect I've never fully understood - the idea that smaller government creates fewer jobs. Actually, government is the greatest source of job creation ever. If the government spends more money than more money is out in the world and the companies that have this money in turn spend more money and that translates into jobs. And jobs are what we need right now.

There might be a time for government shrinkage, but this is not that time. The Republicants ran on a platform of job creation and so far they haven't done anything to make that happen. Not one fucking thing. So, if I may follow up my Soldier of Orange…

Did you lie?

Sorry for the week off, by the way. I had a cold.

Cheap shots:

Five points if you can name the country labeled as "Egypt" in this Faux News graphic.

So I guess we're supposed to be okay with the potential of a great discovery going to some other country.

The top news station in the U.S. for international coverage of news? Al Jezeera.

But the top newsman? The fake one.

The best commentary on getting rid of the system that was never Red, Green or Blue.

Remember, this is a state where Orin Hatch is considered not conservative enough.

And because I love you, Weezer.
